As per Virgin Australia baggage policy, additional bags are not permitted if you hold Velocity Red or Silver status. If you are flying in Economy and Economy X, you can either take one 7kg standard carry-on under 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm or two small bags under 48 cm x 34 cm x 23 cm with a combined weight of 7kg. If these two options don’t seem appealing, you can take one standard carry-on and one suitcase (114 cm x 60 cm x 11 cm) with a total weight of 7kg.

Similarly, passengers flying in Business Class or holding Velocity Gold and Platinum memberships are entitled to the following allowance. However, if the flight is operated by an F100 aircraft, the passenger will receive the economy guest allowance. Sports Equipment

Virgin Australia counts your sports equipment as one piece of checked baggage. Ensure no single piece of equipment exceeds 32kg or maximum dimensions. • Make sure the perishable goods are completely frozen for transportation.
• Carry it in a container made of solid plastic, fiberglass eskies, coolers/ chilly bins, or styrofoam. Cardboards are not acceptable. 
• Ensure that the food items are sealed and double-wrapped in plastic bags to prevent leakage.
• You can use water ice contained in plastic bricks. In addition, gel cooling packs are also permitted.
• Containers weighing over 23kg are applicable to overweight baggage fees. 

Items NOT Allowed On Virgin Australia Flights
